- 3Gulf coast blue hour offers ideal conditions for skyline urban photography.
How Seasons Change Sunrise & Sunset in United Arab Emirates
United Arab Emirates follows the northern seasonal clock: longest days around 21 June, shortest around 21 December. At the Abu Dhabi reference in 2026, June 21 sunrise is 05:34 AM and sunset 07:13 PM (13h 39m); December 21 is 07:01 AM / 05:38 PM (10h 37m).
United Arab Emirates keeps a fixed civil offset year-round, so clocks do not jump in spring or autumn. Seasonal sunrise changes come from Earth's tilt and orbit, not from Daylight Saving Time.
The UAE is small in longitude, so Dubai and Abu Dhabi print almost the same GST (UTC+4) times. There is no DST. The practical difference is horizon: Gulf water to the west versus inland desert haze, not a national clock split.
Maghrib and photography both want the disk, not the capital average. Open the city page for the minute, then stay for blue hour when the towers light up.
